I’ve created a simple keyboard layout using Ukelele. It maps the “special” characters to the standard locations on the US keymap. To get the lower-case version, just hold down the alt/option key. If you want the upper-case version, just hold down shift at the same time. Get the keymap here: Esperanto (PM).

The keymap is based on the US layout which seems to be standard for most Macs regardless of where they’re from. To install it, extract the keylayout file and copy it to one of the following places:

/Library/Keyboard Layouts/ ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/

The keyboard layout should then be visible in “Language & Text” under Input Sources. I’m not sure if there is anything missing from this map but I’m using it right now without any problems…
